What You’ll Learn
This immersive, hands-on class is designed to give you real-world skills, expert coaching, and the confidence to start tanning clients immediately.
Here’s what we’ll cover during your in-person training:
Real-Time Feedback & Personal Connection
In-Person: Receive live guidance, corrections, and encouragement as you tan real models alongside your instructor. Ask questions, get answers instantly, and connect with a supportive sunless community.
Online: Learn solo and submit assignments virtually—great for flexibility, but lacks the direct interaction and feedback loop that builds confidence.
Hands-On Experience with Real Models
In-Person: You’ll practice on live models with expert coaching—body positioning, spray flow, and technique adjustments happen in real time.
Online: Watch demos and practice on your own without a live model or critique, which can limit skill development and precision.
More Time, More Depth
In-Person: Enjoy a full-day immersive class that allows time for repetition, troubleshooting, and deeper learning in a structured but relaxed environment.
Online: Learn at your own pace, but with a shorter time commitment and fewer opportunities for back-and-forth dialogue or follow-up.
Frequently asked questions

Our In-Person Training Experiences are hosted at Sjolie’s Headquarters in Rocklin, California—a centrally located city about an hour north of Sacramento. It’s a convenient location for both local attendees and those traveling in, with plenty of nearby hotels, dining, and transportation options to make your stay easy and comfortable.
How long is the class?
Our in-person training is a full-day experience (typically 6–8 hours), including live demonstrations, hands-on practice, and Q&A.
Will I get to practice on a real model?
Is there any post-class support?
Absolutely. You’ll gain access to continued resources, product guides, and our educator support team after graduation plus you’ll have a dedicated rep to work alongside moving forward.
What do I need to bring with me?
We provide all training materials and equipment. Just bring yourself, wear comfortable dark clothing, and be ready to learn!
I am traveling with a friend/family member—can they sit in?
We’re so glad you’re making the trip! However, only registered students are permitted in the classroom or spray tan rooms. For the comfort, privacy, and safety of all participants, friends, family members, and children will not be allowed to sit in or observe the training at any time.
Your guest will need to explore the local area during class hours—we’ll provide plenty of great suggestions nearby!
